Kevin Kurtz, MPT

Kevin graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree and the University of Delaware in 1991 with his Master’s in Physical Therapy. He has practiced in New York and New Jersey specializing in orthopedics, sports injuries, and post-operative care, as well as work injuries. He is a former wrestler, soccer player, and softball player. In his free time, Kevin enjoys playing golf, volunteering his time assisting in coaching wrestling, refereeing NJ wrestling, and spending time with his 3 children and wife, Eileen. He began his career at Kessler Institute in West Orange, NJ and continued in sports-oriented orthopedic practices in New Jersey and Manhattan over the next 10 years. After moving to central New Jersey he was the Director of Rehabilitation for Ford Motor Company in Edison. Kevin then decided to open his own practice in Somerset, NJ in 2004. His treatment philosophy is exercise based to improve patient function with goal-oriented, measurable results.

Yasmin Abd Elhady, PT

Yasmin graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ-Rutgers, and Seton Hall University in 2014 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has been practicing in New Jersey specializing in orthopedics, sports injuries, and post-operative care, as well as work with injuries. In her free time, Yasmin functionally trains and loves to workout. She loves to participate in mud runs and 5Ks. Yasmin also enjoys volunteering and giving back. Yasmin is also an owner of a health and wellness business educating people on healthy living inside and out. Yasmin is plant based and likes to keep updated on current research on nutrition and health related topics. Yasmin likes to read for personal development and empowerment of others, as well as participating in social activism events. Yasmin also likes to enjoy time with her 3 siblings, her mom and her 4-year-old pup Perseus. Yasmin’s treatment philosophy is to improve function and quality of life with use of functional exercise and manual therapy.

Palak Panchal, PTA

Palak graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and received her Physical Therapist Assistant Associates degree from Essex County College in 2014. Since then, she has been practicing in a variety of Physical Therapy settings including sub-acute, skilled nursing and orthopedic facilities of which she is mainly focused on. Working under the direct supervision of a skilled Physical Therapist, she will continue the patient’s treatment as outlined by the Physical Therapist’s plan of care and will ensure that the patient meets his/her goals. Palak enjoys learning about health that incorporates not just the physical aspect of Physical Therapy but also the nutritional, metaphysical, and mental aspect of it. She believes a holistic approach is necessary in the care of a person in pain. Palak is certified in a form of energy healing called Jikiden Reiki for which she continually practices advancing her skills. In her free time, Palak enjoys spending time with her family, Friday nights in, wine, going to the gym, meditating, reading and watching movies.
