Kevin Kurtz, MPT

Kevin graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree and the University of Delaware in 1991 with his Master’s in Physical Therapy. He has practiced in New York and New Jersey specializing in orthopedics, sports injuries, and post-operative care, as well as work injuries. He is a former wrestler, soccer player, and softball player. In his free time, Kevin enjoys playing golf, volunteering his time assisting in coaching wrestling, refereeing NJ wrestling, and spending time with his 3 children and wife, Eileen. He began his career at Kessler Institute in West Orange, NJ and continued in sports-oriented orthopedic practices in New Jersey and Manhattan over the next 10 years. After moving to central New Jersey he was the Director of Rehabilitation for Ford Motor Company in Edison. Kevin then decided to open his own practice in Somerset, NJ in 2004. His treatment philosophy is exercise based to improve patient function with goal-oriented, measurable results.

Yasmin Abd Elhady, PT

Yasmin graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ-Rutgers, and Seton Hall University in 2014 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has been practicing in New Jersey specializing in orthopedics, sports injuries, and post-operative care, as well as work with injuries. In her free time, Yasmin functionally trains and loves to workout. She loves to participate in mud runs and 5Ks. Yasmin also enjoys volunteering and giving back. Yasmin is also an owner of a health and wellness business educating people on healthy living inside and out. Yasmin is plant based and likes to keep updated on current research on nutrition and health related topics. Yasmin likes to read for personal development and empowerment of others, as well as participating in social activism events. Yasmin also likes to enjoy time with her 3 siblings, her mom and her 4-year-old pup Perseus. Yasmin’s treatment philosophy is to improve function and quality of life with use of functional exercise and manual therapy.


Derrick graduated in 2019 with his Physical Therapist Assistant Associates degree from Union County College. He is currently completing his bachelor’s degree in Health Science at Rutgers University. He initially pursued a degree in Physical Therapy in his hometown of Manila in the Philippines but since emigrating to America in 2016, Derrick instead started working as a physical therapy aide before becoming a PTA. Since his involvement in the physical therapy field, Derrick has gained experience in many settings ranging from nursing homes to hospitals. His main focus is in the outpatient setting where he enjoys working with kids, athletes, and the geriatric population. In Derrick’s spare time, he prefers to spend it outdoors. He loves to hike, bike, and hit the beach during summer time. The rest he spends with friends and family. Derrick is also a member of the Ultimate Frisbee team at Rutgers University and participates in multiple competitions around the country. Derrick believes the key to living a healthy and fulfilling life is to continuously focus on improving oneself, physically, mentally, and spiritually.
